Summer may be coming to an end but not Pocahontas Premieres Concerts
In my readings along life’s way I came across a simple statement “the more bitter the winter, the sweeter the summer.”
Can you believe summer is almost over? Labor Day is right around the corner and kids will be back in school before you know it, I can hear the moms cheering in the background.
So why not make the most of the time that is left before the sweet summer season is over. Pocahontas State Park’s Premieres Summer Concert Series has two concerts schedule for the month of August.
Hollywood Nights Band will appear on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 7 p.m. The band is best known for recreating the music of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. This New Jersey based band has played at the Heritage Amphitheatre many times over the years and continues to be a favorite in RVA.
On Friday, August 14, 2015 a newcomer to the stage of the Heritage Amphitheatre is an American country and southern rock band, Confederate Railroad. They are known for their hits songs “Queen of Memphis”, “Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind”, and “The One You Love Most.”
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to bring the entire family out to experience music at the park’s outdoor amphitheater
Bring a blanket, lawn chair and enjoy the sights and sounds of the park. Please check individual concert listings for information on ticket price and food/beverage availability or contact the park office at 804-796-4255 or by email.
The park is located in Chesterfield County, about 20 miles from Richmond. It's easily accessible from Interstate 95, Route 288 and Route 360. For directions, click here.
