Park in Review: Caledon State Park
Nothing screams bald eagle like a visit to Caledon State Park which is situated along the shores of the historic Potomac River. Caledon State Park is the east coast bald eagle capital and a favorite destination for bird watchers of all ages.
This is primarily a day use park with special history and nature programs throughout the year, some allowing special after-hours access. Some primitive canoe in campsites have been added along the Potomac River.
Caledon State Park provides amenities such as hiking trails, shoreline access for exploration and a visitor center with bald eagle exhibits. There are picnic areas and restrooms also available.
