While there isn't much left to the 2016 camping season, we have something special to convince you to come out for an overnight stay at Pocahontas State Park at least one last time. Pocahontas State Park is renting four Yurts for stays beginning November 1.

YURT  (\yurt\)
a circular domed tent of skins or felt stretched over a collapsible lattice framework and used by pastoral peoples of inner Asia; also :  a structure that resembles a yurt usually in size and design.

- Merriam-Webster Dictionary

You may have seen one at this year's State Fair, or you may have seen the one other yurt we have at Kiptopeke State Park. Up through December 4, you can try this unique overnight experience. Otherwise you will have to wait until camping reopens March 4, 2017.
