delivering exceptional customer service

Report examples of our staff displaying outstanding customer service using our new online tool. Help us identify our employees and volunteers who go out of their way to support your enjoyment of our parks through our new Recognize a Ranger Program. You might want to recognize:

  • The reservation counselor at the Customer Service Center who spends extra time with you to make sure you get just the right cabin for your visit.
  • The ranger in the park office who gives you advice on which hike to take to see the best views.
  • The maintenance ranger who fixes the dripping faucet after hours.
  • The ranger who helped you open the door when Junior locked the keys in the car (again).
  • The park interpreter who engaged the entire family with the campfire program.
  • The camp host who helped you back into your campsite and made sure you were settled into your site before dark.

Sometimes personal attention makes a difference

If you are completing one of our Your Comments Count surveys after your visit, you will be given the option to Recognize a Ranger at the end of the survey. But you can access the online recognition form any time by clicking here.

Making a personal connection

While it makes it easier for us if you remember the name of the person who provided the excellent customer service, we have a block for you to describe the person (especially when and where you encountered them).

When you complete the form, there will be a drop down list of our regular park staff but new hires or volunteers may not be on the list so you can also add any name you don't see in the list on the description as well.

When you Recognize a Ranger, the ranger will receive a special a recognition award and will earn a pin with additional stars based on how many they receive.

He is always very accommodating to our school and provides wonderful hands on experiences for our students in the classroom and on field trips. He is very knowledgeable of the area and shares his excitement and love for the eastern shore by creating and promoting programs for all ages.
