Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

I need to give you fair warning about something you should know about Virginia State Parks in the fall...she will bat her eyes and sweep you up with her seductive charms and before you even realize your infatuation you may be smitten. 

When you visit a Virginia State Park in the fall, and especially when stay overnight with her on a fall getaway in a park cabin or campground we cannot be held responsible for what may happen...and I am warning you now, that love is in the air.

No more bug spray, no more sunscreen, no more hauling water bottles and trying to find a place to refill them. It is just you and her, with no distractions only a yearning to be alone among her flaming hillsides.

How can you not fall in love with Virginia State Parks? You can try to hold back, but in the end you will be struck straight through the heart as you fall head over heels...
