Shawnee the Shepherd's Virginia Hiking Trip 2012 Part Three, our stay at Fairy Stone State Park. See part 1 and 2 from our visit to Smith Mountain Lake here, and part two here.

On the way to Fairy Stone State Park we decided to hike McAfee's Knob. It is one of the most photographed spots on the Appalachian Trail.

We hiked more and more and more heading to McAfee Knob.  If'n you nefur heard of that, it be one of the places on the Appalachian Trail that be photographed the mostest.  You will see why when we get there.

Some other hikers taked a picture of me and mom at the seenik.

Ta da!  We is on McAfee Knob!  (But no way was me and mom going all the way to the edge like those other peeples!)

Then before we moved on, mom put me in a STAY on McAfee Knob and taked my picture all by my lonesome out there.  I was just hoping mom was not leaving me there furever but she did not.  There was no danger of me falling off coz, well, you know, those vultures...

It was another park and another cabin!  With noisy neighbors.  (The peeples left their dogs home alone on the screened in porch and they yapped the whole time - so not cool peeples!  Don't ruin it fur efurrybuddy else.  Furginia State Park cabins is dog furrendly and I would like to keep it that way so I can go back again!)

So come on in and I show you around.  This cabin be in Fairy Stone State Park and it be a furry old park with furry old cabins.  These cabins was made in the 1930's.
