Shawnee the Shepherd Visits Smith Mountain Lake State Park
Shawnee the Shepherd shares her Virginia Hiking Trip 2012 and stay at Smith Mountain Lake State Park.
If you missed some of their earlier exploits in Virginia State Parks, Shawnee Shep and her mom are a great hiking team and live in New Jersey. This is their fifth visit to our Virginia State Parks. Shawnee and her mom hike most weekends and usually do long hikes, often 20 miles on a weekend. We love it when they visit Virginia, or as Shawnee calls it Furginia, and write about their hikes and especially their visits to our state parks!
This be the porch fur chillin' and napping (me) and reading (mom) and stuffs.
So here I is hunkering down with Mr. Monkey fur a bit.
We got ofur to the lake and it started raining again. We waited unner the tree a bit. There woz peeples out on the pier unner the roof trying to catch fish.
Whoa, a dog could fall in the lake here.
Have your pawrents open a bottle of Pine Sol and take a big sniff (them, not you, BLECH) and that be wot it smelled like here.
So I is standing here on the Osprey Point Trail looking out ofur the lake when all of a sudden, OMD, I seened a real live reality movie star in the fur! Or in the feather...
In the woods there was an old timey building. I think this be a tobacco barn. Well, it used to be but not any more.
