Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Paddle out with a ranger and see Leesylvania State Park like never before! Take in the beauty of Powell's Creek, watch the majestic bald eagles soar above, and witness the agile ospreys dive into the waters in search of fish. No paddling experience is required. Don't forget your hat, water, sunscreen and sunglasses! Please arrive 10 min early at the Visitor Center to pay the program fee and receive your PFD. Price is $10 dollars per person and the parking fee is waived for those attending the program. Call, leave a message, or email us to reserve your spot. Each session is limited to 12 people. Facemasks are required for unvaccinated individuals.
