Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

9:00 a.m. What's SUP with Paddling? Join Susan Humphreys, an ACA certified Paddle Board instructor, to learn the tips and tricks of Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP). Every other week will be geared toward children or adults, but everyone is welcome. $10/person. You must register by 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meet at the Dock N Shop.

2:00 p.m. All Tied Up Stop by the interpreter's station at the beach to practice tying clove hitches, square knots, figure-eights, and more. Meet at the beach. Free

4:00 p.m. Survival Tips You can survive for three days without water and fourteen without food but you probably don't want to. Learn a few survival basics just in case you ever need them. Meet at the gazebo. Free

7:30 p.m. Fire Building 101 There are many ways to start a fire but some are certainly easier than others. Join us before the weekly campfire to learn what you need, how to build them, how to start them and how to stay safe while you do it. Meet at the Amphitheater. Free

8:30 p.m. Welcome Y'all Campfire Meet fellow campers and park staff around a campfire and learn some history of the park. Bring a flashlight and dress for cool summer nights. Meet at the Amphitheater. Free
