After a hiatus of three years due to the pandemic, our Winter Lecture Series is back for its nineteenth year. Our SMLSP Friends Group has worked hard to bring you a great line-up of presenters for this year’s series. We kick off 2024 with an exciting program on flying squirrels, presented by Dr. Todd Fredericksen, Associate Professor of Wildlife and Forestry at Ferrum College.

The Winter Lecture Series is presented by the Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Proceeds go to help fund educational programs and projects in the park. Dates for the 2024 Winter Lecture series include January 7, February 4, March 3, and April 7.
