First Day Hike- Seven Bends

The first day hike has been a tradition within state parks for years and we are happy to join in this tradition again. You are more than welcome to come hike on your own but we are offering a ranger lead hike this year. We will meet at the Lupton Access picnic shelter at 10:00am to hike Gokotta Trail. We will loop back around on Lupton Rd and continue back to the parking lot. Along the way, you will hear short descriptions of things the park has worked on and accomplished this year. We will be traveling about 2 miles of easy trail. Stick around after the hike for some light refreshments, and a chance to meet the rangers.

Friends of Seven Bends State Park volunteer will also be offering a more difficult hike that will take off from the same location at the same time. This six-mile hike will take you up River Bend Rise Trail. Choose which hike is best for you and dress for the weather.
