Join us at Widewater State Park for a 5-week Herpetology program for homeschoolers!

Each week, we'll focus on a different group of animals:

9/8 : Amphibians: Salamanders and Caecilians - Discover the world of salamanders       and caecilians.

9/15 : Amphibians: Frogs - Learn about these fascinating amphibians.

9/22 : Reptiles: Lizards - Dive into the world of lizards.

9/29 : Reptiles: Snakes - Get up close with non-venomous species.

10/6 : Reptiles: Turtles and Crocodilians- Explore the life of these captivating creatures.

Each session includes live animals and is science-based, lasting one hour. Spaces are limited, so register now. For more info, contact Widewater State Park. Let's explore herpetology together!

Pre-registration required. Limit 20 children per program. FREE. All programs will start at the Visitor Center.

How to Register: Please leave a message on the Visitor Center answering machine (540) 288-1400 with your name, number of people in the group, and your contact information as well as the name, date and time of program. We will call you back to confirm your spot. Registration over emails will not be accepted.
