When

Sept. 23, 2023. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day by learning how to identify and remove invasive plants so native species have a chance to thrive. We’ll gather at the main parking lot and start with a brief training on English Ivy and Japanese Honeysuckle and why we don’t want them at the park. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and gloves. We’ll have extra gloves if needed.  Kids over 10 years old are welcome to join us. Parents must supervise them the entire time. The pace will be slow, allowing us to soak in the sights and sounds of nature.   Pulling up invasive species.
