Sept. 23, 2023. 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Come support our Public Lands in a beach clean-up event!

First we'll travel to Caledon Marsh beach to pick up trash AND search for fossils! This beach does a lot to protect the marsh, so let's get out there and protect it and the wildlife that lives there. This is also the best place in the park to look for fossils, so why not do both?

Next we'll ride out to Jones Pond beach to lead another trash pick-up. This is a great spot for bird watching, so grab a pair of binoculars during a break and set your sights on the resident raptors of the river!

Please bring water & snacks, dress for the weather, and wear close-toed shoes that can get wet.

We will have only one wagon ride down to the respective beaches; participation is FREE but reservations are required as space is limited. Give us a call at 540-663-3861 or stop by the Visitor Center to let us know you're coming. Parking is free on the day of the event.
