Staunton River State Park could use your help with sprucing up our pollinator flower beds. Come on out on National Public Lands Day and we will work to return these pollinator areas to their former glory. The work involved will be removing unwanted plants and vegetation, grooming the area surrounding the flower beds, pruning plants as needed, and various other tasks. Tools such as wheel barrels, shovels, pruners, loppers, and other basic hand tools will be provided. Remember to bring a good pair of gardening gloves, a drink of water, and to dress for the weather.
All volunteers will please meet at the state park visitor center. After everyone has arrived we will relocate to the work location. This is a free parking day for all Virginia State Parks.
