When

July 1, 2023. 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The Jones-Stewart Mansion is a stunning example of an antebellum plantation house. The home offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of two historic families that lived here at Chippokes.  This historical building tour is designed to highlight the architecture of the time, designs, furnishings, special touches, ornate decor, and stories within the walls of the Jones-Stewart Mansion.

Meet on the back porch of the Jones-Stewart Mansion (facing Mansion Gardens). The last tour will begin at 3:00pm

Please note: This is a historical building, and we hope to continue to share it for many more years, children should be close-by and with their adult counterparts at all times, please be mindful and respectful, and stay with your interpretive tour guide.

Whilst in the historic area, take a peek inside the windows or screen-doors of the Brick Kitchen, stop by the FOC Gift Shop (home to a restored Packard Clipper) Friday-Monday (March-October) from 12:30-3:30pm, peek inside the windows of the Carriage House, stroll through the Mansion Gardens to the final resting place of Mr. & Mrs. Stewart, or walk along Quarter Lane.
