Please join us for a very special historical hike with Carl “Gump” Blair. Carl has a fascinating connection to the Austinville area and will provide a personal account of his experience working in the mines and the mining operations, as well as a personalized view into his family ties to the area. Gump is very knowledgeable and a gifted storyteller, you won’t want to miss out on this unique historical tour. There is also the possibility of another special guest in attendance.

Please meet at the Austinville Access Trailhead, bring comfortable walking shoes and drinking water.
