Aug. 19, 2023. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Get the buzz about bees, and maybe some local honey too. Learn all about honey bees as we celebrate World Honey Bee Day. Explore our indoor observation hive and see if you can spot the queen. Talk with park rangers as they show you the amazing and complex social lives of these busy little insects. Identify which pollinator plants would be best to plant in your garden to rejuvenate local bee populations.

The Friends of Natural Bridge State Park will also be holding their annual honey sale; all the honey is harvested in the park from its bee hives, and the proceeds go to support the Friends group. Bee programs and honey sales will take place in the visitor center and at the Cedar Creek trail pavilion. There's never been a sweeter time to visit Natural Bridge!
