Mark your calendars! Join us for our Backyard Birds workshop.

Participants will join park staff and local bird enthusiasts Joey O’Quinn for a fun-filled afternoon learning how to identify birds that live in their own backyard. Participants will walk around the museum grounds and along the greenbelt of the Powell River identifying birds that live in the area. Each participant will be provided a journal, so they can record the different species of birds on their birding adventure. After their walk participants will create a bird feeder from recycle material to take home with them. This workshop is for adults and children.

Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing for the weather, and comfortable walking shoes. Binoculars will be helpful, but not required.

The fee for the workshop will be $10 per person; all supplies and materials are included.

Registration is required. To register, or for more information, please call the park.
