Come join us to celebrate, acknowledge, and learn about the history and persistence of the Indigenous Peoples of Virginia! There will be performances by the Rappahannock Dance Group & Maskapow Drum Group at 10:30am, 12:00pm, and 1:30pm held at the Demonstration Circle within the Interpretive Area. Educational displays hosted by the Nottoway Indian Tribe of Virginia, the Mattaponi Indian Tribe and Reservation, the Kiskiack Chickahominy Tribe, plus 13 other education vendors will be spread throughout the interpretive trails. There will be demonstrations of flint knapping, dugout canoe burning, cordage twisting, and fishing net tying amongst the different education stations.
