Widewater State Park, 101 Widewater State Park Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
Throughout the Park
When
Sept. 24, 2022. 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Celebrate National Public Lands Day by volunteering at your local state park! At Widewater, help our park's ecosystem by removing invasive species from the trails and our native garden. Invasive plant species become overpopulated and can harm the habitat and outcompete native species. Meet rangers at the Visitor Center to find the best location for invasive removal and learn what species to look for.
What to Bring/Wear: Please bring gloves, appropriate footwear, water bottles, sunscreen, and bug spray. This event will occur rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
