We love our beaches - So come out on National Public Lands Day to give our favorite beaches the attention they deserve! First Landing State Park has 1.5 miles of sandy Chesapeake Bay beach, as well as shaded beaches along the trail at the Narrows. Pick up trash bags or buckets at the Chesapeake Bay Visitor Center at the Shore Drive entrance to the Park or at the Narrows at 64th Street.  We will have Park volunteers available to talk to you about how we can all work together to keep our Park and waterways clean!

Or, visit your favorite First Landing Interpreters over on the Eastern Shore as they help out with Kiptopeke State Park's Outdoor Exploration Day event from 10am to 3pm.

Reminder: Parking is free at VA State Parks on National Public Lands Day!

A bucket filled with shovels and toys sits on a sandy beach near the water.
