July 11, 2022. 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Are you a prospective park ranger or historian? Come dig around and participate in our archeology inspired Junior Ranger track to learn how artifacts can help teach us about those who traveled and used the land before us. This program will include a mock artifact discovery dig where participants will find, clean, and identify different objects to learn what they tell us about the historic Powhatan peoples. Upon completion, each participant will earn their own Junior Ranger patch and become a historic and cultural steward of the park. This program will take place at the demonstration circle which is located at the head of the Forestry Trail in the Interpretive Area.
