Have you ever wondered how you can tell how healthy a river is? If you have, then come out to Foster Falls at New River Trail State Park to take an in-depth look at the critters that make up a healthy river ecosystem and how you can be a good steward of the environment. You will have opportunity to look for critters in the river shallows and have them identified by a knowledgeable ranger who can explain why these critters are so important to rivers.
The program will last approximately an hour and a half. Please bring appropriate shoes, clothing and water since there are no potable water sources nearby. There are restrooms and a changing room close to the program location.
