Douthat State Park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the period of 1933-1936 to protect Virginia's natural resources and to provide a place for families to experience and enjoy those resources well into the future - please join us in our work to continue that mission.

We will work our way around the shore of beautiful Douthat Lake.

· Pick up litter & clear out dead branches & debris

· Dress for the weather & remember to wear hiking boots & gloves

· We will provide trash bags

· All ages are welcome

· If you prefer to volunteer on your own and not part of the group, please call the park office and let us know. We will make arrangements for you to pick up trash bags.
