Clean the Beaches: Kayak Paddle

Location of Westmoreland State Park in Virginia

Where

Westmoreland State Park, 145 Cliff Road, Montross, VA 22520.
Boathouse

When

April 22, 2022. 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Westmoreland State Park is honoring Earth Day this year by hosting a special volunteer event...a beach clean up kayak paddle! Rain or shine. Participants will be able to walk the beach or paddle in a kayak to collect as much trash and debris as we can muster. To quote Dr. Seuss, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." Earth is what we all have in common and we must do our part to care for our planet.

Volunteers are welcome to meet at the Boathouse down by the day-use area beach and help us clean the beaches and shoreline. We will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and we will continue on with any willing participants until 12:00 p.m. Please bring water, gloves, and a snack or lunch for yourself.  This special volunteer event has been limited to 20 participants.

Please sign up to attend this event with our Volunteer Coordinator, Robby O'brien.
