Become a Junior Ranger at Fairy Stone State Park! We're glad you are going to become a Junior Ranger. Rangers are an important part of the Virginia State Park system. Some of the duties of Park Rangers are to protect the plants and animals, preserve the history of each park, share their knowledge with park guests, and to ensure the safety of every park guest.

The Junior Ranger program is a mixture of self -guided and Ranger-led programming that teaches you how to be a Junior Ranger. Complete the activities in the Junior Ranger booklet and have a Ranger sign off on your Ranger-Led activities. Once complete, take your completed booklet to the Visitor Center or Park Office to be sworn in and  receive your Junior Ranger Badge.
