First Day Hike

The first day hike has been a tradition within state parks for years and we are happy to join in this tradition again. You are more than welcome to come hike on your own but we are offering a ranger lead hike this year. We will meet at the Lupton Access canoe launch at 9:00am to hike Gokotta Trail. We will loop back around on Lupton Rd and continue back to the parking lot. Along the way, you will hear short descriptions of things the park has worked on and accomplished this year. We will be traveling about 2 miles of easy trail. Stick around after the hike for some light refreshments, and a chance to meet the rangers.
