Albert Hash Memorial Festival returns to Grayson Highlands State Park

MOUTH OF WILSON, Va. – Grayson Highlands State Park will host the 19th annual Albert Hash Memorial Festival on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival celebrates the life and legacy of the renowned Appalachian fiddle maker and musician Albert Hash and honors the rich musical heritage of Southwest Virginia. 

The Albert Hash Memorial Festival draws musicians and visitors from near and far. Attendees can expect a day filled with live bluegrass, old-time and folk performances, showcasing the talents of local and regional artists who continue to carry the torch of traditional Appalachian music. 

Event highlights include: 

  • Performances from Whitetop Mountain Band, Crooked Road Ramblers, Larry Sigmon and the VA Girls, Dori Freeman and Scott Freeman, Willard Gayheart and Martha Spencer & the Wonderland Country Band.
  • Instrument makers. 
  • Food and craft vendors. 

The Albert Hash Memorial Festival is a family-friendly event and will be held rain or shine. Admission is $10 per person, and the standard parking fee of $10 per vehicle is required. Visitors are invited to bring chairs, umbrellas and blankets.
