DUFFIELD, Va. – Natural Tunnel State Park is excited to announce the return of Kids Fishing Day, a family-friendly event designed to introduce children to the joys of fishing in a fun and educational environment. This year’s event will be held on May 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park’s Stock Creek Recreational Area.

Open to children ages 15 and younger, Kids Fishing Day offers a unique opportunity for young anglers to cast a line, reel in some fish and connect with nature. The event is free to attend.

Fishing gear and bait are not provided, and visitors are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen and lawn chairs. Parking will be in the picnic area on Bishoptown Road. A shuttle will provide transportation to the Stock Creek Recreational Area starting at 8 a.m.

Kids Fishing Day is made possible through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources and the Scott County Sheriff's Office. For more information about Kids Fishing Day or other upcoming events at Natural Tunnel State Park, please visit www.virginiastateparks.gov/events or call 276-940-2674.
