Half marathon and 5K event to be held at High Bridge Trail State Park
Experience the High Bridge as you compete in a scenic race.

FARMVILLE, VA – Participate in the High Bridge Half Marathon and 5k race on October 7 and experience the delightful views of High Bridge Trail State Park as you compete.
This rail-to-trail park offers a nice, well-packed limestone path along a scenic corridor for contenders in both races. Participants running the half-marathon will have a route across the grand High Bridge and will cross it twice.
“High Bridge is a great place for a run or leisurely stroll,” said High Bridge Trail State Park Manager Daniel Jordan. “This race is perfect for all skill levels, and crossing the Majestic High Bridge is an added bonus during the competition. Walk or run, it’s up to you. We love having new and returning guests to the park for this unique race.”
This race is part of the annual Virginia State Parks Adventure Series, which is wrapping up for the year this fall. But there are still some races left.
Adventure Series Races:
Each race features a Virginia State Park and allows participants to experience each location in a unique way as they compete.
“Partake in a nice fall run in Farmville while you compete for cool prizes,” said Virginia State Park Promotions Manager Steve Boyd. “Runners will have on-course support with music, water stations and vault toilets. We look forward to seeing you out there.”
Finisher awards will be presented to all half-marathon and 5K finishers who complete their race during the designated time period of 4 hours.
