RICE, VA. – The Firefly Festival will be taking place at High Bridge Trail State Park on June 16 and 17.

“The iconic High Bridge provides an exclusive view for guests as the fireflies take flight in the nighttime sky,” said High Bridge Trail State Park Manager Daniel Jordan.

The event includes activities, firefly viewing and insect displays. The festival takes place from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. each night and parking and event access will be at the Camp Paradise entrance located at 1466 Camp Paradise Road.

Tickets must be purchased in advance on EventBrite and tickets will not be sold at the gate before the event.

“The Firefly Festival is a local favorite and typically sells out, so be sure to purchase a ticket while you can,” said Jordan. “You won’t want to miss this family friendly event, so come on out and make some remarkable memories as we kickoff summer at the park.”

For more information about the Firefly Festival, visit the park’s website.
