Public meeting scheduled March 18 for Natural Bridge State Park master plan

RICHMOND — The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation will hold a public meeting March 18 at 6 p.m. to discuss the Natural Bridge State Park master plan. The meeting will be at the Natural Bridge State Park Visitor Center, 6477 S. Lee Hwy., Natural Bridge, Virginia.

DCR staff will provide an overview of the proposed facilities and gather feedback from attendees.

A master plan guides development for each Virginia state park. Creating or updating a master plan requires a public input process.

The 1,200-acre park, a portion of the original 1,500-acre site, is off Interstate 81 on U.S. Route 11 south of Lexington in Rockbridge County. The park is managed by DCR, while the hotel and its environs are managed by the Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund Inc.

Attendees will have the opportunity to give feedback during a portion of the meeting. DCR will accept written feedback through April 18, 2020.

Written comments may be emailed to lynn.crump@dcr.virginia.gov. Comments also may be faxed to 804-371-7899 or mailed to Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Attn: Lynn Crump, 600 E. Main St., 24th Floor, Richmond, Virginia 23219.

For more information, contact Crump at 804-786-5054 or lynn.crump@dcr.virginia.gov.
