Job Duties:

This position will plan, research, and create social media content to support DCR's programs and services; ensure that written materials contain accurate and easy-to-read content that aligns with the goals of DCR; assist with managing the creation of new blog articles and updating existing content; assist in developing marketing strategies and tactics to promote DCR's programs and services; utilize editorial calendars and social media marketing plans; collaborate with the PCMO team, State Parks personnel, and other divisions to develop content for social media; manage assigned social media channels for state parks and DCR; monitor and report customer engagement related to DCR's social media platforms; assist with customer relations and reputation management; work collaboratively and constructively with supervisor, coworkers, and external stakeholders; and utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Considerable experience working in an interactive communications environment.
Considerable experience managing social media programs, including developing content and graphics for organic communications and paid advertising.
Experience scheduling and posting content on major social media platforms.
Experience managing editorial calendars, website content management systems, and customer relations management tools.
Experience creating social media content for target audiences that vary based on subject matter.
Considerable knowledge of social media platform business applications.
Experience developing goals, objectives, and tactics for successful social media campaigns.
Experience utilizing research metrics to interpret campaign effectiveness and adjusting social media strategies as needed.
Experience managing multiple projects with complex tasks, organizing work, and performing at a high level under tight deadlines.

Additional Considerations:

Experience with developing content related to outdoor recreation, land conservation, or natural resources.
Experience with producing multimedia content for use on social media and websites.
Basic photo and video editing skills with experience using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator.

- Free camping outside of the Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day period in sites designed for up to six people.
- Free camping Sunday night through Thursday night (excluding the night prior to a holiday) from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
- Fifty percent discount on cabins (up to 3 bedrooms) outside of Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, for a maximum of 14 nights. All reservations require a two-night minimum. Bunkhouses, camping cabins, and yurts are included; one night yurt stays only receive a 25% discount.
