DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless stated otherwise, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the job announcement's close date.
Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application). We will, however, accept paper applications for some state park slots. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.
Certain positions require a criminal background check, a conflict of interest financial statement or both. Law-enforcement positions require a fingerprint-based FBI investigation. DCR is an EEO/AA/ADA Employer.

Hiring Range: $14.00 per hour
Position number: NB034 and NB038
Provides information regarding state park services and other local attractions. Primarily provides coverage at the parks contact station, and park office if necessary. Required to operate a computer, cash register, fax machine, laminator, handheld radio & multi-line phone system. Provides accurate and detailed information on the park fees, directions, pricing, annual passes, trail information, park interpretive programs, and local area information. Performs clerical duties such as answering telephones, copying, various projects, and other duties as assigned. Ensure gift shop/customer check in area is well stocked and maintained on a daily basis. Maintain accurate and neat filing and storage. Performs daily cleaning of contact station/office area/gift shop/restroom.

Must be willing to work weekends and evenings. There are no health benefits or paid vacation leave associated with the job. Employees are limited to working no more than 1500 hours in 12 months from May 1 to April 30.
