To control the spread of the emerald ash borer, a firewood quarantine has been established for the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun and Prince William as well as for the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax City, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park. It is unlawful to transport firewood from these localities. Please click here for more detail.

The Virginia State Parks mission is to conserve natural, scenic, historic and cultural resources of the commonwealth and to provide recreational and educational opportunities consistent with good stewardship of these lands, water and facilities that leaves them unimpaired for future generations.
