Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Explore the rich natural and cultural history of Holliday Lake State Park. This program aims to help children ages 8 to 13 develop their own environmental ethic while enjoying hands-on activities including canoeing, geocaching, gold-panning, and wildlife watching. Kids will also learn about the importance of outdoor recreation as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and the need for conservation here at home and around the world.
Friday afternoon features a graduation ceremony, for those who have attended both days, where they will receive a Holliday Lake State Park Junior Ranger patch and certificate. The cost is $25.00 per child for the two-day program.
