Holliday Lake State Park, 2759 State Park Rd., Appomattox, VA 24522. Beach Area.

When

March 20, 2016. 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The nation reunited not far from present-day Holliday Lake about 150 years ago. The retreat march from Petersburg to Appomattox Courthouse by General Robert E. Lee's men was a long and dangerous journey, passing close to where the park is today. Join us for stories from the mid-1800's to catch a glimpse into the lives of the people from the past. We will also have equipment on display that the average soldier would have carried with them during the American Civil War.

Please contact the Park Office with any questions regarding park programs or to set up private programs for a group.
