|Ice Cream Sundae - Confederate Supply|
|Time:||2:00 p.m. To 3:00 p.m.|
|Location:||Visitor Center at Sailor's Creek Battlefield|
Join us for ice cream and a historical narrative! Would you like to share a dessert while you learn about the typical state of supply for the Army of Northern Virginia? The focus of this presentation is to demonstrate that the Army of Northern Virginia was, in fact, well equipped and had many of the resources necessary to carry out a prolonged war. For example, notable challenges faced by the Army of Northern Virginia during the Appomattox Campaign included the acquisition of foodstuffs from supply trains at Amelia Court House and Farmville and Grant's attempts to deny Lee's army of these supplies.
Each Ice Cream Sundae program is FREE to the public. All You Can Eat Ice Cream Sundaes will be offered for a $2.00 one-time fee per person, per program. All proceeds raised from the ice cream sundaes sales will be donated to the Friends Group to help fund future Educational Programs.
