Children will learn what calls the river home as well as learning about the birds and other wildlife that live around the waterway. Led by rangers and volunteers, this mild, fully accessible, and educational walk follows the Powell River on nearly three miles of paved pathway, where you're certain to see an abundance of Southwest Virginia wildlife.
Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and comfortable walking shoes. The program will be held rain or shine. Registration is not required for this program. Admission to this event is free. For more information, please call the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park at 276-523-1322.
