During this presentation, participants can learn the methodology and modern tools of genealogical research that can help families begin an odyssey of discovery that all ages can enjoy. This 45-minute presentation will be given from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13th in the Sailor's Creek Visitor's Center.

From there, guests are encouraged to enjoy one of the many hiking trails throughout the park or learn more by taking the marked driving tour around the park. Trail guides and a driving tour map will be available.

Sailor's Creek Battlefield Historical State Park is located at 6541 Saylers Creek Road in Rice, VA. The Visitor's Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily while the park itself closes at dusk. Each presentation as well as parking is FREE. For more information, call (804) 561-7510.
