Join and ranger on a hike along the world-famous Appalachian Trail to the highest peak in Virginia: Mt. Rogers. You may find ponies or long horn cattle along the way. Take a break on some rock outcrops and see if you can identify the peaks in the distance. You never know what you may find along the trail.

This hike is limited to 10 participants, so pre-registration is recommended. Meet the ranger at Massie Gap parking near the vault toilets. Bring water, a snack (and/or lunch), and wear proper footwear. This hike is moderate to difficult with lots of rocks.
