Explore Belle Isle

Belle Isle State Park has some great activities that you can do on your own schedule. Stop by the camp store for more information about any of the following:

-Borrow one our park packs. Each one includes field guides and equipment to help you explore. Choose from Wetlands Exploration, Insects, Birding Adventure and Night Time. 

-Complete a scavenger hunt or play Belle Isle Bingo. 

-Pick up one of our free Butterfly craft program to-go! 

-Bring your fishing pole and try your luck on our fishing pier. Bait and fishing licenses are also available for purchase.

-Bring a lunch and enjoy cool river breezes at the picnic area while the kids play on the playground.

-Grab your camera, a Hiking Guide, and Trail Guide and explore one of our many trails. You may see wildlife, including butterflies, deer, rabbits, eagles, and turtles while wandering through wooded areas, fields, marshes and beach areas. 

-Explore the park by bicycle for only $3 per hour.

-Rent a canoe or kayak during seasonable weather. Please call the park for more information about rental fees, reservations, and requirements.
