(Virginia Beach) -- Space is still available for the Women's Wellness Weekend to be held at First Landing State Park, April 19-21.

The weekend of workshops and seminars provides women with opportunities to reduce stress, learn about nature and enjoy the outdoors in Virginia's most popular state park.

Seminar topics include age-proofing your brain, photography and other healthy-living programs. Several workshops will feature hands-on activities with "take away" items, including natural beauty supplies, herbal teas and sea glass jewelry. Other weekend activities include guided hikes, a bike ride, a kayak trip and a surf-fishing class.

The cost is $179 plus overnight accommodations. Friday dinner, lunch and dinner Saturday, and Sunday brunch are included in the price along with goody bags and tee-shirts for attendees.

Participants can stay in one of 20 cabins, camp in the maritime forest just steps from the Chesapeake Bay or commute. For reservations, call 1-800-933-PARK (7275).

Check-in for the weekend begins Friday at 3 p.m. Several early-bird programs also are scheduled. A "Grub Crawl" will be held Thursday evening, April 18, where guests will visit four bay front restaurants for appetizers, dinner, dessert, and cocktails or coffee. The additional fee is approximately $60.

On Friday, April 19, there will be optional day trips to Chippokes Plantation State Park, False Cape State Park or the Virginia Aquarium for an additional charge.

The next Women's Wellness Weekend will be held at Douthat State Park in Millboro, Sept. 20-22.

The award-winning Virginia State Parks are managed by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.

For more information about Virginia State Parks' activities and amenities or to make reservations for one of more than 1,800 campsites or 300 climate-controlled cabins, call the Virginia State Parks Reservation Center at 800-933-PARK (7275) or visit www.virginiastateparks.gov.
