DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless stated otherwise, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the job announcement's close date.
Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application). We will, however, accept paper applications (Word) for some state park slots. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.

First Landing State Park is seeking self-motivated, organized, and customer service oriented individuals for the part-time office/contact station position. This position will be expected to perform customer service duties in person and over the phone. Provide accurate information regarding state park services, local attractions, park fees, trail information, and park interpretive programs. This position will be required to learn how to have a full working knowledge of the park’s point of sale system as well as state park policies. The incumbents will assist guests with making reservations, checking in and out, purchasing annual and day parking passes as well as other merchandise when necessary. This position will keep all areas of the contact station cleaned, organized, and stocked with supplies and brochures. This position will perform other office duties as assigned.
Prior customer service and cash handling experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
Special Requirements: This position will be expected to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. There are no health benefits or paid vacation leave associated with this position. Employee works a maximum of 1500 hours per fiscal year from May 1 to April 30. Employment in this position is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check. Employer participates in e-Verify.
