Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

December 5, 2020. 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Join the Historic Staunton River Foundation and park staff for a Christmas celebration at Mulberry Hill. Experience Christmas in a 19th century home as well as a Civil War encampment, outdoor cooking, fabric dyeing, and displays of life in the 1800's. Tour the house in its festive decorations, mingle with costumed reenactors, and enjoy music and refreshments. Short tours of the house will be given throughout the event and visitors must wear masks while in the house.

Admission fee is $10 per person. Ages 5 and under are free. Mulberry Hill Plantation is located at 2667 Mulberry Hill Road, Saxe, VA 23967
