Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Join us for the annual Great American Campout and connect with nature and wildlife while enjoying the great outdoors. 10 a.m.- 11 a.m.-Camping Bingo: Learn about the plants and critters that surround you by making bingo cards you can take on all your camping adventures.

12 p.m.- 1 p.m.- Afraid Knots: Join us for a fun, basic lesson that will teach you what knot to use for nearly every outdoor situation. Activity will be held at the Visitor Center and pool.

4 p.m.- 6 p.m.- Top Camper: Each contestant will receive an item and will be tasked to come up with as many possible uses. Bring your creativity and learn new ways to utilize your campsite.

7 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.- Warm Welcome-Gourmet S'more Showdown: Join us for our weekly campfire, but be sure to bring all the ingredients necessary to create your fanciest, most gourmet s'more.

Be sure to visit our Visitor Center and CCC Museum, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Programs are suitable for all ages.
