Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Join Caledon's staff engaging in one of the best American pastimes: Camping. Have a blast while in the comfort of nature. This is a great way to introduce your family to camping. Bring your own tent and supplies and we will take care of your meals as well as provide extra activities. Dinner will be cooked over the campfire and a continental breakfast will be provided the following morning. Check-in for this event is from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday and the event ends at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Don't miss out on this event because fun survival skills programs will be available for all attendees. While you're here, check out the Amateur Radio Field Day with the King George Amateur Radio Operators located at the Picnic Shelter.

12-1 p.m.: Check-in and tent set-up

1-3 p.m.: Orienteering & Geocaching

4-5 p.m.: Radio Demonstration

5-7 p.m.: Fire-Making & Archery

7-9 p.m.: Dinner and Campfire Stories

9-10 p.m.: Walk on the Wild Side Night Hike
