Do you enjoy both the arts and the outdoors? Join us for Paddles and Palettes, this program combines kayaking (a 2 hour, beginner-level paddle) and painting (1 hour of watercolor exploration)! Guests will first have the opportunity to go out on Aquia Creek in sit-on-top kayaks with State Park interpreters, observing wildlife and learning the history of the park along the way.

Next, guests will have the chance to create a small watercolor painting: one based on provided examples, a design of your own making, or just enjoy the properties of water and paint however you like!

Both activities will be preceded by safety and other introductory-level instructions. All levels of paddlers and artists are encouraged to join!
