Location of Widewater State Park in Virginia

Where

Widewater State Park, 101 Widewater State Park Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
Potomac Picnic Area

When

April 2, 2022. 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

We hear birds around us all the time, but can you tell who is singing to you by listening rather than looking? Join us at Widewater State Park as we explore our diverse ecosystems and discover what feathered friends we can find. Learn to identify birds by sound rather than sight as our rangers lead a hike through Holly Marsh. Together you'll traverse an open field, dense woods, wetlands, and a river shoreline to find out who inhabits this land we share.

This hike is approximately 1.8 miles over uneven terrain and will be held rain or shine. Participants should bring plenty of water, dress accordingly for the weather, wear sturdy shoes. Binoculars and cameras are encouraged, but not required.
